AT THE ALA MOANA CENTER
Ala Moana Center is one of the big Malls in Oahu. Sometimes on week ends a small group of dancers from the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC)would perform at a centre stage just to attract tourists and invite them to visit the PCC.
The dancers would just costumes at a backstage. Each costume change would represent a distinct ethnic group from the Polynesian Islands.
The dancers are ALWAYS accompanied by live singers and instrumentalists: a guitar, a bass guitar if available, a soloist who sings nothing but native songs and uekeleles. Canned music, if possible is not allowed.
The statuesque lady seem to be the model of the poster just behind her...
Samoan dancers!
"Come to the Islands.." she says..With a smile like that, who can say no..:)
ALOHA OE..come back to the Islands, anytime!
