The DOS story according to my teacher

The Story based on the knowledge of my computer teacher Mr. Charles Gwynn in 1989.

Grudges from programmers against Mr. Gates that’s a deep thought but it’s true. Since at last Mr. Gates received a nod from agitated contract from IBM then mostly of the individual programmer has been jealous with him. His infamous but it’s a so-called emerging affluent for Mr. Gates the Disk Operating System (DOS), now called MS windows/vista. Back then Mr. Gates received an appointment meeting with the IBM to introduce his OS. Mr. Gates Microsoft OS wasn’t ready then because of some glitches that can’t figured it out.

DOS is already known and developed 3 versions by Seattle Computer before Bill gates bought all rights reserved for 250$ only in July 1981 to saved his promised meeting with IBM. Microsoft name his new bought OS to MS-DOS. Shortly afterward, IBM announced the Personal Computer (PC) using OS that what was essentially Seattle Computer 8086-DOS version 1.14. With only enough basic utilities not even have the EDLIN (edit of line) the pretty basic language that already obselete long time ago.

Bill Gates got money from IBM to be utilized his Microsoft DOS into next level and has been continuously improving until today, providing many versions.

Seattle Computer Product was one of the humble electronics stores in the heart of Seattle. The owner of the Seattle Computer Products wasn’t optimistic but it’s “off the-mistake” compared with Mr. Billionaire “Bill-owner” Gates, I guess!

In that same year 1981, Tim Paterson, apparent author of DOS, left SCP. Strangely enough, he found employment with Microsoft. Isn't that nice? By that time, Bill could probably afford to pay him a good salary. For me, Mr. Gates was one of the hundreds trying to be a visionary man and one of the luckiest guy among the competitors because IBM award him the instinctively opportunity to explore the new trend of the computer.

Gates called the IBM version of his newly acquired operating system PC-DOS. He then did something really rather brilliant. He talked to IBM into letting him keep his own version, which he called MS-DOS. That is meant he was no longer beholden to IBM. What a dumb how the IBM ever agreed to that thing, I will never know. But agreement reached... It would eventually lead to their loss of control of the PC software marketto Bill Gates Microsoft. From this wild weird happened nobody knows the future of this software even Mr. Bill Gates his only intention is to get in to IBM.

He was in the right time and in the right place to have that DOS that made him the richest man in the world.
