After 25 Years in the Toronto Public Library..

MIGUELITA  RECEIVES A CERTIFICATE AND A WATCH..

Last Wednesday, Nov. 8 a special ceremony was held at the St. Lawrence Hall in recognition of the staff who have been serving the public thru the TPL. Only the 25-year honorees ( like Miguelita and a host of others who started working since 1981 ) received the watch. The rest received only a certificate and a letter of commendation. The longest serving staff member is  Karen Coulter who has been the system since 1966.

Miggie ( as she is called by her peers in the TPL ) beside MaryAnne San Juan another Filipina employee in the Library.

At home, Miggie showed me her "loot": a letter of commendation, a Certificate of Appreciation, a glossy magazine containing her name and some historical photos of the TPL and last but not the least, the "icing in the cake" a beautiful watch from Birks Jewelry ( inside that small blue box ).

CONGRATULATIONS, MIGUELITA! YOU DESERVE IT...AND MORE!!!!
